A Brazilian certidão arrives with a cartório stamp, an authentication seal and a stack of carimbos on the back. That's the evidence — and it has to survive the translation.
Reglyph lifts only the printed Portuguese off the page image and sets the English into the same fields, so the cartório stamps, the selo de autenticação and the notary's signature stay where they were. Portuguese diacritics — ç, ã, õ, é — are read correctly rather than flattened, which matters on names and place names that officials match against other documents.
Already have a digital Portuguese PDF rather than a scan? Portuguese → English document translation
Yes. Photograph or scan it, save it as a PDF, and upload — the document scanner built into iPhone (Files) and Android (Google Drive) saves straight to PDF and squares the page. Reglyph reads image-only PDFs directly, so there is no OCR step for you to run.
Yes. Stamps, seals, holographic authentication stickers and handwritten notary marks are part of the scanned image and stay exactly where they are. Scan the back of the document too — the carimbos there are often what a receiving office wants to see.
Both are read correctly. Vocabulary differs between Brazil and Portugal, and the translation follows the document's own usage rather than forcing one variant. Names, dates and document numbers are carried over exactly as printed.
